Frequently Asked Questions

"I can't seem to get my single handled Moen tub/shower cartridge out. It is a bigger cartridge than most Moen cartidges. What am I doing wrong ?"

The cartridge that you might be referring to is possibly a posi-temp cartridge. If so, you MUST use the special "tool" that the new cartridge comes (came) with or you will probably never get it out. You have to move the cartridge side to side until it rides itself out of the wedge of the valve body. You do not pull it straight out like a normal Moen cartridge.
