"Why is the FlowManager so important to have?
"What do you think of the quality of this unit?"
How we ended up offering you this product is that we were asked to sell this product. Our Founder was skeptical and did not initially choose to sell this product. After he saw it, installed it (he did it himself in less than 10 minutes), and tested it, he was
totally "sold" and believes this to be a top quality product. It is rare that he personally pushed us into selling/offering this product in record time because he believes in this product.
"What kind of warranty does the FlowManager have?"
The manufacturer offers a two year limited warranty. Since the FlowManager is required to pass 72 inspections and tests we think it very unlikely that you
will have any problems. We believe in it and offer you a 30 day trial warranty which means that if you install it and then don't think it does a good job
we will take it back used (our normal return charges will apply since we then have to sell it at a discount as a used product. Note that currently we do not have any used returned models available for resale).
"What tools and/or accessories will I need to install the FlowManager?"
Once the existing waterline (flex, etc) is removed, the FlowManager is easily installed with only your hands.
The following items are included in the FlowManager package: main controller, bowl sensor, battery pack with 4 AA batteries, wiring hiding clips (2) and even an alcohol prep pad. In addition to all the contents provided you may also need a towel, wiping cloth
and a flexible supply line.
"How durable are the sensors? It seems like the one in the toilet bowl could get damaged easily?"
The sensor is very durable and can take chemical abuse (of course don't throw a toilet bowl cleaner on it as some cleaners destroy
everything).
"Which type of toilets can I use FlowManager on?"
FlowManager's can be installed in most tank type toilets which have a standard fill valve assembly. It doesn't matter
if your toilet tank holds 1.6 gallons, 3.5, 5 gallons or even the very old 7.0 gallons per flush type.
"Any tips or other things that I should know?"
The "open valve" button should be held down for at least one full second (some people, when testing, etc. will push it quickly
and wonder why it didn't open, just hold the button for at least one second long).
"If I install this water saving and safety device will you guarantee that I
will never have any overflowing toilets ever again?"
We would love to but that is impossible. We can tell you that this great product can prevent
most toilet overflows. To state "all" could not be true with any device. We do not know of any device made today
that is better than the FlowManager in detecting overflowing toilets.
"Is the FlowManager easy to install?"
Yes. The FlowManager can be installed by most people that have done their own basic plumbing repairs. If you have ever changed a faucet handle,
or replaced a door knob you will have no trouble installing this great new energy saving and toilet overflow protection product.
"Must the bowl sensor be installed perfectly in the back (at 12 o'clock position)?"
You can place it anywhere with the 10:00 o'clock and 2:00 o'clock position. Some people have installed that sensor off center on the bowl, closest to an adjacent wall.
"Are there any type of toilets that the Flow Manager does not work with?"
Yes, commercial flush valve types and also (rarely used) pressure-assisted toilets can not work with the FlowManager.
"What type of care does the FlowManager unit require?"
Apart from replacing the standard AA batteries when necessary, there is no maintenance other than like every product, cleaning the unit with a damp cloth. As with most plumbing products, using a mild, non-abrasive, non acidic cleaner is best.
"When the batteries are old and used, will the unit fail?"
One of the great features of the FlowManager is that it is there to monitor your toilet. The main controller will shut off the water until you replace the batteries. That design is intentionally with a normally closed valve thereby taking the worry away that should the batteries fail that the unit will still protect your toilet.
"I hate noise and wish to silence the alarm. Is that possible?"
Yes, simply press and hold the alarm silence button until you hear 3 beeps.
